The lightest gas
The lightest gas is the most common in our Universe the element is hydrogen. A significant part of stars and stellar matter are composed mainly of this gas.
Informed by means of hydrogen in the air rose the airships and balloons, but since this gas is very explosive when interacting with oxygen, it was many tragic flights. It was therefore decided not to use more hydrogen and fill the balloons with helium.

This gas, being in absolutely normal conditions, has no odor, taste and color. He is well able to dissolve in a large number of metals, especially in palladium. In silver, as well as in the water it is almost insoluble. With lightweight oxygen gas forms the most necessary and common substance on our planet – water. And every organic mix to meet the hydrogen interacts with the carbon.
Hydrogen includes 3 isotope. This protium, deuterium, often also called «heavy» hydrogen,» and tritium, which is radioactive. Light gas is widely used in various industries (for example, is the hydrogenation of oils and fats).

Hydrogen and helium
