The ancient statue was broken during a failed selfie
In the historical Museum of the city of Lisbon, the visitor decided to take a picture with a sculpture of the Archangel Michael. A unique work of art dates from the early 18th century. Brazilian traveler long sought the right angle for a selfie and in the end hooked on the sculpture’s shoulder. Heirloom swung, fell and broke into several pieces.
The Museum staff bitterly stated the fact that to restore the figure of the Archangel will not work. Expect clumsy tourist a fine, is still unknown.
