Huahine island is a group of Islands of Levarda and consists of two Islands: Nui and Iti or Large and Small hin, as they call them newcomers. These two Islands are so close that are connected by a bridge and surrounded by a barrier of coral reefs.
The beauty of Huahine island is one of the most beautiful in all of French Polynesia. It is located 175 kilometres North-East of Tahiti and visible from the Islands of Bora Bora. I especially love this island divers for its incredibly rich underwater flora and fauna.
The inhabitants of hin honor the traditions of the natives of French Polynesia are a traditional Polynesian way of life: fishing and agriculture. On the island grow coconuts, bananas, vanilla, almond trees, Acacias and colocasia.
It is believed that it originated in ancient Polynesian culture. This is evidenced by numerous archaeological finds: the ancient sacrificial temples and stone traps for catching fish.
