Why most young professionals do not work on the profile
A diploma does not guarantee your acceptance in the labour market, where there is currently an acute shortage of skilled workers. Higher education does not teach how to become rich and famous. Confirms your knowledge and skills, but «tower» is the most important trump card, which you gracefully get out of the sleeve, when applying for another job.
Today in Russia, people with higher education are twice more than it was in Soviet times, but 25% of those who graduated from high school, not going to work.
Over the hill, Teens finish school much later than we passed, and prior to these years, they already have their own goals and life plans.
In the average Russian families, the usual practice is that the choice of profession for children of parents who are trying to realize his dream, unreasonably raised the bar of compliance for their own children. The latter, disappointed in the «chosen» profession at the Institute, or after a degree a couple of years.
A separate layer of the people first, guided by the knowledge that without papers you are a bug, and a piece of paper. The main thing for them to get a crust, that shit is not reproached saying, «and he doesn’t even have the highest», because there is a huge list of posts that you did not get, if you don’t have a diploma. And, it is not always important what kind of education.
The most basic example: sell phones in a phone shop rigs without you take, but then a senior assistant as you go. And so in very many spheres of business activities. If you want to move up the career ladder, the vast majority of cases, you have to have a diploma.
Another answer to the question of why graduates do not work in the specialty – «I want to do your business. And the diploma of the lawyer/massage therapist/karate/linguist, I don’t need.»
