The President of Turkey announced that gender equality is «unnatural»
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the conference on the rights of women, which was held in Istanbul, openly declared that the woman has no possibility to be equal to a man at least because of biological differences which do not allow them to perform the same function. According to the Turkish leader, women who are fighting for their rights, are not aware of high maternal status, which can reach a woman in an Islamic society. He also made it clear that the weaker sex needs to equally respect, but not equality.
Activists from the feminist (small) groups criticized this statement, saying that this judgment is unfair to women who have no children, because, according to the logic of the President is worthy of respect only women with status of the mother.
