Cinema Saturday #1
Dude, how have you found the first working week of 2015? Personally, we are with difficulty drawn into work mode after a long break. And, we think, can afford to buy all the harmful and delicious foods like chips in the store and relaxed to stretch his legs on the couch, get comfortable and watch a good movie, and what you suggest.
Today we picked for you a few movies for which answer. Surely you’ve seen them, maybe not. But a good film review is not a sin. For those who have not seen some of these pictures, try not much of a spoiler.
1. «The life aquatic with Steve Zissou» (2004)
Great atmospheric film, shot in the genre of tragicomedy, will not leave you indifferent to this cold winter evening. And who can be melancholy when you look at the old bill Murray with his sad, ironic smile, smoke a cigarette and looks out at the vast ocean! After all, the plot, it was there that he faced… (he promised not spoiler!)
The main character never parted with his red hat, shifted on top of her head. And here we can’t help but recall Jacques Yves Cousteau, who, in fact, this film was dedicated to. Great dialogue, great cast, which is adorned with Willem Dafoe, cate Blanchett, Owen Wilson, will brighten your Saturday if suddenly you haven’t found out what to do.
2. «Fargo» (1995)
The black postmodern Comedy is recognized as one of the best films steep the Coen brothers, whom we thank for his invaluable contribution to the culture of modern cinema. Many of their films have already become classics of the genre, and the dialogue of them dismantled for quotes all and Sundry, and who are too lazy too. And if for some reason you still haven’t seen the film – urgently to correct the situation! And even if they did, these pictures can be happy to revise it several times. The story is the kidnapping of women, which involved her husband and two persons of the most suspicious look, and then did not tell you, see for yourself. Fargo by surprise by the fact that in every, even the most bleak situation, there is something to laugh at. Colorful characters, snow-covered landscapes and recognizable style of the Coen helps you to relax after a hard week.
3. «Escape from Alcatraz» (1979)
A film by Don Siegel on the book of John. By Bruce Campbell, tells us about prison, from which it is impossible to escape.» About the prison, where they dug a tunnel with a spoon and afraid to bend over for the soap in the shower the most famous thieves, murderers, swindlers, and even al Capone. But here comes into play the hero of Clint Eastwood (really, who else could fit such a story) and trying to pull off mission impossible escape. Won’t you open all the cards and spoiler, but this film is mandatory viewing. Believe me, you yourself will not notice how will fly two hours, not wasted on this picture.
4. «Airplane!» (1980)
A wonderful parody of the «airplane» disaster movies, including books by Arthur Hailey «Airport» and «runway zero-eight». Dude, in this movie, played by the inimitable Leslie Nielsen, and if you love him the same way as we regularly watch films with his participation.
As in other paintings by Leslie Nilsson, unfolds before us the theatre of the absurd, and the parade is led by a former military pilot who tries to land the plane where all the crew members suffered food poisoning. Leslie Nielsen already passed away, but left behind movies that have become classics of the parody genre and can definitely lift the spirits on a cold winter evening.
5. «Oil» (2007)
Original title – «There Will Be Blood» is a quote from the Bible, which certainly sets the mood for the story. «Oil» was nominated for Oscar in eight different categories and put in his piggy Bank two statuettes in the categories «Best operator» and «Best actor». Critics agree that this is one of the best movies of the first decade of the twenty-first century. This is a very strong adaptation of the eponymous book of Upton Sinclair, who leaves after viewing a strong and mixed impression. What? Tell us about this myself after seeing the pictures.
