In Spain began a delicious celebration of La Tomatina
Yesterday, August 27, Spain began one of the tasty feasts. This day is the proud name of La Tomatina. The celebration is held annually in Bunyola is one of the cities of Spain. Now all the streets of this beautiful place decorated with red tomato pulp.
Today on trucks to the place of celebration were carried 125 tons of ripe tomatoes for 22,000 participants — many from abroad. They came here specifically to leave the tomatoes.
Those wishing to participate must pay $13 dollars. This method decided to use the power of the city, whose population of around 20,000 people. All this in order to help pay off debts of around € 5.5 million. Tickets for the event were sold out several weeks in advance.
The tradition went back as far as 1945 and continues to this day.
