How to get good from a difficult situation

In order not to break under pressure, you can use a variety of techniques, which depend on your purpose and the qualities necessary to achieve it. In most cases the situation can be divided into two groups dependent on the working or procedural memory. Today we will focus on the first group.
What is working memory?
When you perform tasks that require reasoning, perception or learning, you use working memory. It allows you to keep in mind necessary information, while being occupied with something.
Working memory may need you in a stressful situation. For example, you might have to explain to the client at work, solving the problem, and simultaneously keep in mind your speech prepared for another client, with whom you will meet in an hour. You can keep in mind a lot of arguments and counterarguments in preparation for the planning meeting at work. You can talk to the person and at the same time trying to remember his name. Or when you pass the exam: you say while trying to remember anything else.
Why we fail in situations when you need to use working memory?
In principle, working memory can be improved, but when you need it at this particular moment, nothing could be done. When we begin to worry, our inner monologue is immersed in panic and exhausts our resource of working memory. Instead of using it for a good cause, you spend it unwisely on ineffective throwing back and forth. How to use the memory wisely
Slow down and try to see the future. When you’re under pressure, your natural reaction is to explode, though. However, this can be avoided. Studies show that when a person is faced with problems whose solution requires the use of working memory, reduced speed and lack of haste to help the best.
