Hot dog with cheddar cheese, mushrooms and bacon.
You’re mistaken if you think that hot dog — «calm» in cooking. The hot dog has long ceased to be a dish best served exclusively in the railway station dining rooms. We will tell you how to prepare a truly Royal hot dog in the home.
For cooking six hot dogs you will need:
- 6 sausages;
- 6 buns for hot dogs;
- 1 onion sweet onion;
- 300 g of canned mushrooms;
- 2 tablespoons olive oil;
- 2 tablespoons butter;
- 1 tablespoon of honey;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 150 g cheddar cheese;
- 4 slices of fried bacon;
- ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat two frying pans, each of them melt and mix olive and butter. Slice dice the onion and put it in one of the pans, add a pinch of salt. Leave onions to simmer on a slow fire under the lid for 10-15 minutes, then add a spoonful of honey and leave for 15 minutes to bow covered with a layer of honey caramel.
In another pan put the chopped mushrooms and leave them under a cover on slow fire for 15-20 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 5 minutes. Take off from heat, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Fry the sausages as you like — on the grill or in the same way as other ingredients in the pan. Cut the rolls, filling them in a little grated on a fine grater cheddar cheese and put on top of sausage. Hold each of the rolls over the heated burner or a grill, so the cheese inside melted a little. Then add ketchup and mustard to taste, mix chopped small pieces of bacon, onions and mushrooms and place it all on top of each muffin.
Voila! Royal hot dogs ready.
