Explosion in China has killed 31 people
In the Chinese city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, on the morning of may 22, explosion. At eight in the morning local time in a crowd of people at the market near Renmin Park entered two all-terrain vehicles, of which the crowd flew explosive devices. One of the cars exploded and the fire started. The incident was described by the Chinese authorities a terrorist attack.
This is not the first terrorist attack in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region. Between the Uighurs, the majority of the region’s residents and the Chinese population often conflict. The Uighurs are Muslim and are fighting for independence from China, on the territory of the region operates Islamist group «Islamic movement of East Turkestan».
