Along with scrambled eggs and oatmeal, toast is one of the most popular dishes for Breakfast. According to one version, its name in the Russian language they have received because of the verb «to warm». Another hypothesis is «toast» is derived from the French «grains» — crumbs. Crackers, toast grandparents, was the universal means of prolonging the shelf life of bread, but in transit they often crumbled, hence the word «grains».
There are many different recipes for croutons, but we are not to overload your head at the beginning of the work week, we will tell you how to make traditional French toast in the egg-milk crust.
You will need:
2 tbsp butter,
1 tbsp sugar
200 g of white bread,
half a Cup of milk.
Slice the bread into thin slices. Pour in the milk, egg, grist sugar and whisk until smooth with a beater or anything else.
Heat up a frying pan with butter. Obmanyvaj bread pieces in milk-egg mixture and fry them on both sides to obtain a Golden crust.
Such classic croutons can be used with any berries, fruits, jam or even chocolate spread. Most importantly, do not overdo it: toast, smeared with chocolate, dusted with powdered sugar, drizzled with honey and decorated with strawberries is likely to lead to sugar intoxication of your body.
