Chevrolet Biscayne is a series of automobiles which was produced by Chevrolet from 1958 to 1972. This model was the cheapest among all full-size Chevrolet except appeared in the 1958 Chevrolet Delrey. Biscayne looked very simple both outside and inside, and the lack of that flash finishes were a feature of this series.
The Chevrolet Biscayne was presented to the public in 1958 in two versions, both two — and four-door sedan. From 1962 to 1968 Chevrolet Biscayne was produced from a body «wagon». In 1959, for this model, Chevrolet has developed a new design.
Chevrolet Biscayne prefer those who wanted to have an inexpensive, but powerful and comfortable vehicle with no frills. In the sixties most Chevrolet Biscayne came with six-cylinder engines, and eight have become more popular in the early seventies. At the same time, standard equipment Chevrolet Biscayne steel hydraulic power steering and power brakes, and turbomekhanichesky transmission was typical of all cars with eight-cylinder engines, production of which began in 1971.

The interior of the car was equipped with a cigarette lighter, armrests, sun visor on the passenger side, had a more simple and practical handling. Manufacturer has virtually abandoned the chrome trim which was replaced by color to match the body color. The car was available in two — and four-door sedan. Tuning fans and police could choose a more powerful engine and appropriate transmission. Since 1961 Fleetmaster ceased to produce.
Chevrolet Biscayne ceased in 1972.
