Technology for manufacturing of gypsum stucco

plaster moldings in the country

So original and tastefully arrange the room and give it a special charm, many designers in addition to modern decorative materials used, the methods of decoration, using plaster stucco complement its interior the internal space.

Plaster and stucco products are not only beautiful and elegant, with simple and affordable material, the first ordinary room can become the pride of their owners.

The basic properties of cast, this lightness and viscosity as a powder gypsum stone, and then crushed and passed kilning at the temperature of 150-170 °C, the material becomes ready for further processing.

Brand gypsum G-5-G-25 are commonly used for decoration works and is a powder extremely fine grinding, it is recommended to take in the work material, which recently passed the stage of firing, is white and no impurities.

Dissolving the material in water with a high temperature, the plaster starts to set and solidify, the solidification time can be from 6 to 30 min., until complete conversion into the solid state. On average, the process of changing to a powder of solid state takes 10-12 minutes.

It is not very convenient for the manufacturing process of products, installation of molding, so in the gypsum powder added substances that slow down the hardening of the material, such as borax, lime, glue, FALLING in a ratio of from 0.2 to 2% of the total mass. In this case, the curing process is increased to 40 minutes.

To speed up the process faster setting when it is necessary to dissolve the mixture of plaster brand G-16 add the sodium sulfate, alum, table salt and water is taken with a higher temperature.

The volume of the material slightly increases and it becomes convenient to operate. For the manufacture of stucco, plaster is the most ideal material.

The composition quickly hardens, the surface is smooth and easy to dye. The only drawback of the G-16 is the low level of resistance to moisture.

Durability of stucco and plaster articles depends primarily on the type, fineness of grind, aging temperature regime in the kiln, and the amount of water upon dissolution of the mixture. It is believed that an excessive amount of water evaporates during its solidification.

Despite the recommendations for dissolution, which referred to 18% moisture, in practice this figure is 35-45%. The evaporated moisture would entail an excessive porosity that leads to a decrease in strength of the finished products made from plaster.

For optimum durability, we recommend that you add 1.5 kg of gypsum, 1 l water or 1:2 liquid mass of 1:1 dense.

After dilution of the mixture very quickly to use it as the setting time of only 2.5 minutes, and the property of plasticity remains for 6-8 minutes. In the case when the solution is already frozen, it is unsuitable for further use.

The use of gypsum for the manufacture of beautiful plaster moldings, products that will help decorate and liven up interior design will make any space unique.
