The cultivation of broulee
Location and lighting
This flower requires a fairly bright but diffused light, unwanted direct sunlight. Therefore it is better not to place the pot on a southern or Northern window, it is better in the East or the West, or, if the Sunny side to shade the plant.
In the room where growing brovaliya, it is better to maintain a stable low temperature: in summer not more than 25 degrees, and in winter is +13-18°C.
If the room is more cold or hot, the plant probably will not bloom. And at very high temperatures the leaves wither and turn yellow.
Watering and humidity
In summer the plant requires regular and abundant watering, but should be good drainage so that the moisture does not stagnate in the pot.
Winter watering is greatly reduced. The air should be moderately moist, at a time when brovaliya not in bloom, it can be periodically sprayed.
During flowering, spraying stopped, instead, it is better to place near the pots of wet clay or a container of water.
Feeding is carried out, as a rule, during active growth and flowering from spring to autumn. Once a month make fertilizers.
Transplantation and propagation
Annual transplant is required only to young bushes. If the pot becomes too small, adult to transplant, as a rule, not necessary.
Brovaliya traditionally propagated in two ways: by cuttings and seeds. The first method can be propagated year-round.
To do this, cuttings with roots planted in the ground. The corresponding soil – a mixture of leaf, turf ground, humus and sand.
When breeding the second method we need to plant the seeds in a bowl, lightly covered with earth, and periodically sprinkle it with water from a spray bottle.
In this capacity, keep seeds on a light box under glass, maintaining the temperature at about 25°C. after 2 weeks you should see sprouts.
Pests and fight with them
If the air is too dry, the plant can wind up spider mites and whiteflies. On the occurrence of pests indicate the fallen leaves.
It may also attack scale insects, dominance which leads to yellowing and loss of leaves. The appearance of control leaves should be wiped with a tampon moistened in a mild soap solution, treat with Malathion or tobacco extract.
