Vladimir Mukhin: biography
Vladimir Mukhin – known Russian chef, winner and prize-winner of various international culinary competitions. Through his efforts the Moscow restaurant «White Rabbit» is included in the list of the fifty best restaurants in the world. Mukhina called one of the few chefs who are not afraid to change established notions about cooking.
Vladimir was born in the city of Essentuki of Stavropol territory. He was born in a family of chefs and, continuing the dynasty, became a cook in the fifth generation. To the kitchen and cooking were taught from childhood. Special effect on the boy had a grandmother Theodosia Kireeva, chef trust of restaurants and canteens, and grandfather, who taught grandson the various techniques of processing and storage of products.
In 12 years, Vladimir was already helping his father in his restaurant «the Samara quay», having passed a way from simple dishes to old recipes of the Russian merchant kitchen. After school Vladimir Mukhin is sent to the capital and entered the Russian University of Economics named after G. V. Plekhanov, Department of technology of public catering. Already during his studies, the young man started his career in the most prestigious Moscow schools.
At 17 Vladimir Mukhin got a job in the restaurant «Red square, 1», where the kitchen was led by the President of the National Guild of chefs Alexander Filin. Seeing a promising young man, the owl not only gave him knowledge, but after a few years opened a joint cafe «Buloshnaya» in which Mukhin became the youngest chef in the country.
Vladimir opened the restaurants, «rye, 10» and «Windsor» and since 2012 is the chef of the Moscow restaurant «White Rabbit». In the menu, it includes some old recipes of her grandmother, and the author’s ideas, often experimental.
