    Lydia Fedoseyev-Shukshin : biography

    Lidiya Nikolaevna Fedoseeva-Shukshina was born in September 1938 in Leningrad. About her parents very little information. We only know that her family safely managed to survive the siege of Leningrad. After the war, Lydia went to school. She was lucky to study at the oldest school in the city – Petrishule. In elementary school, the girl felt an interest in acting. She attended drama club at the Leningrad House of cinema.     Somehow on one of the Amateur productions visited the famous Director Anatoly Granik. He immediately noticed the talented girl and offered her the role of assistant in his film «Maxim Perepelitsa».     In 1957, Fedoseev goes to Moscow and became a student of VGIK. She came to the wonderful mentors Tamara Makarova and Sergei Gerasimov.
