Aleksandr Ivanovich Kuprin is a famous writer, a classic of Russian literature, the most significant works are «Juncker», «Match», «Pit», «the Garnet bracelet» and «the White poodle». High art is considered short stories Kuprin about Russian life, about emigration, about animals.
Alexander was born in the provincial town of Narovchat, which is located in Penza region. But the childhood and youth of the writer were held in Moscow. First wife of Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin was a young Maria Davydova, the daughter of the famous cellist Karl Davidov. The marriage lasted only five years, but during that time the couple had a daughter Lydia. The fate of this girl was tragic – she died shortly after the birth of a son at the age of 21 years.
With his second wife Elizabeth Moriconi writer Heinrich were married in 1909, although they were living together at that time for two years. They had two daughters, Xenia, who later became an actress and model, and Zinaida, who died at three years old from complicated forms of pneumonia. The woman survived Alexander for 4 years. As the only grandson Kuprin, Alexey Egorov died from wounds received during world war II, the family of the famous writer was interrupted, and now his direct descendants don’t exist.
Alexander Kuprin returned to Russia with very poor health. He had a dependence on alcohol, plus an older man was rapidly losing vision. The writer hoped that the home will be able to return to work, but her health wouldn’t allow it.
